Gas struts may prematurely wear due to the environment they are used in. Elevation and cold temperatures can affect their reliability. The sit-ski has been designed to still work in the event of a gas strut failure and replacements can be purchased here.

Sit-Ski Model
- 4th gen Dynamique sold 2015-2019, with DY4 serial numbers use a longer gas strut
- 5th, 6th & 7th gen Dynamique sold 2019-present, with DY5, DY6, Qd7, MO1, MO2 and Qm7 serial numbers use a shorter gas strut than 4th gen.
- The Pique-C uses a different and shorter gas strut.
