Stand Up Outriggers

Please measure your forearm size and make note of it in the box.

Superlite Outriggers are  the most popular outriggers in the world. They are the outrigger of choice for Paralympians and adaptive sports programs alike. Used to assist in balancing, stopping, turning, and getting on and off the lift,  these outriggers will enhance your skiing experience. There's no skiing without them!

Superlite Outriggers come with a variety of choices becuase we feel it is important to accommodate a wide range of ability levels and unique customer needs. Below we provide insight and recommendations to help you with these choices.

Tube Style

The Standard bend is above the handle. 90% of our customers choose this style.

Low Bend outriggers are also known as Ed Luck's. The bend is below the handle which brings the tips closer to the skier for those looking for increased stability.

Ergonomic grips improve comfort and control by increasing support of the skiers palm. They are made from soft black rubber and are left / right specific.

Endurance grips are the familiar outrigger standard. They are slightly firmer. The grips are designed to reduce fatigue and improve control while not being left/ right specific. This is recommended for programs who have several pairs of the same size outriggers.

For competition flip, the ski tip flips down when the string is pulled.  This allows for a faster, more fluid skiing style and there is less resistance while skiing. We generally recommend this style for  advanced stand up skiers.

For standard flip, the ski tip flips up when the string is pulled.  This allows for more stability when stopping or standing. This style is more appropriate for intermediate and novice stand up skiers because its is easier in the lift lines and stopping along the run.

Our new NEXGen ski tips are stronger and lighter. A tapered and rockered tail reduce “chatter” at speed while an open pin design reduces the chance of snow jamming. The overall ski angle can be adjusted up to 15 degrees lower and the basket for the "crutch" position is integrated into the ski tip itself. Learn more about NEXGen tips here.

Original tips are the Industry's number one selling ski tip and continue to be a popular choice by programs and individuals alike.  They're classics!

Ice Screws are designed to reduce resistance through turns while skiing. We recommend this for intermediate / advanced skiers.

Brake Claws provide extra resistance and stability while skiing. We recommend this for more novice skiers.
